Douglass Davies is a novelist, screenwriter, director/producer from the United States. A former firefighter and city government PR executive, Davies is a native of coastal northern California and his work often reveals a love of the sea (i.e. The Waters of Aramon, The Seafarer).  Davies' early writing career began as a screenwriter developing screenplays for faith based producers.

He was awarded Best Screenplay for his first effort, Coach, by the Christian Distributor's Association followed by several very early independent titles, Twice Given, adapted from the novella of the same title, and Test of Faith based upon a true story.  Among other works sold, Evergreen, John Michael and Without Mercy.

He attributes his years in advertising and public relations  as fundamental in interpreting audience interest and needs.  Known for his hard hitting adventures and thrillers Davies explores a range of subject matter through irreverent anti-heroes locked in conflicted worlds of wealth and fame often underpinned with supernatural intrigue.

Works in development: the high seas adventure, The Seafarer, the time travel romantic drama, The Crossing, and his newest franchise, the international thriller, Steinburg's Hollywood, currently being adapted for television from his novel. Packaging and casting efforts are currently underway. Production is scheduled to commence in London, England, UK and Phoenix, Arizona in late May 2023.
